European Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences is the official journal of the European Federation for Pharmaceutical Sciences (EUFEPS).
The journal publishes research articles, review articles, perspectives and scientific commentaries on all aspects of the pharmaceutical sciences with emphasis on conceptual novelty and scientific quality. The Editors welcome articles in this multidisciplinary field, with a focus on topics relevant for drug discovery and drug development.
More specifically, the European Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences publishes reports on:
drug absorption and metabolism,
drug delivery including nucleic acid delivery,
drug evaluation in the clinic,
drug targeting,
medicinal chemistry,
personalised and precision medicine,
pharmaceutical and biomedical analysis,
pharmaceutical biotechnology,
pharmaceutical technology and manufacturing,
pharmacodynamics,
pharmacokinetics,
pharmacology including translational pharmacology,
physical chemistry related to formulation, physical pharmacy and preformulation,
regulatory science.
New chemical entities, new biological entities, prodrugs, peptides and new modalities such as antibody-drug-conjugates (ADCs), PROTACs, advanced therapy medicinal products (ATMPs) including nucleic acid modalities (e.g., siRNA or mRNA), cell-based therapies are within the scope of the journal.
Manuscripts describing new technical aspects such as new methods, new routes of synthesis, new formulation approaches, applied engineering, nanotechnology or the use of in silico tools for modelling and pharmaceutical data science are welcome.
European Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences publishes contributions dealing with relevant aspects of pediatrics, treatment of elderly patients e.g., impaired pharmacokinetics. Manuscripts covering rare diseases, are also within the scope of the journal.
