- Synthesis and characterization of a Pd Schiff base complex anchored on Fe3O4 as a novel and recyclable catalyst for C–C cross-coupling reactions
- Abstract
- Pd Schiff base complex was immobilized onto the surface of magnetic Fe3O4 as a novel, eco‐friendly, and recyclable heterogeneous catalyst and fully characterized by BET, TEM, XRD, EDS, SEM, TGA, FT-IR, ICP‐OES, and VSM techniques. The obtained Fe3O4@SiO2@APT@BDA@Schiff base-Pd performance can show excellent catalytic activity for Csingle bondC coupling reactions, and the corresponding products were obtained with high yields. The main advantages of using this catalyst include green reaction conditions, low loading of the catalyst, a simple experimental procedure, short reaction time, non‐use of hazardous organic solvents, and the ability to use various substrates. Palladium leaching was checked using ICP-OES and hot filtration. The synthesized nanocatalyst can be recovered and reused several times. The catalyst can be easily separated from the reaction mixture and recovered and reused without loss of stability and activity.
