- Abstract
- Au-based nanocomposites were increasingly recognized for their potential in sensing applications, particularly environmental monitoring and biomedical diagnostics. This review examined recent advancements in the eco-friendly synthesis of Au-based nanocomposites and their applications in sensing. The paper highlighted the importance of sustainable synthesis methods, exploring green chemistry principles, bio-based approaches, and the use of sustainable materials. The review also covered the characterization techniques used to assess these nanocomposites and discussed their sensing mechanisms, particularly in detecting pollutants and biological targets. The challenges and future opportunities in eco-friendly synthesis and sensing applications were also considered, emphasizing the potential for commercialization and large-scale implementation.
